Abstract

In light of growing natural hazards, the RESILIAGE project continues to explore how communities can leverage local heritage and cooperation to build resilience. Following our Spring 2024 findings, the second booklet, From Field to Management: Cooperating for Resilience in the CORE Labs of RESILIAGE, dives into the collaborative efforts across our five CORE Labs—Famenne-Ardenne, Crete, Naturtejo, Trondheim, and Karsiyaka.

Through field research, interviews, and participatory workshops, we gathered valuable insights on how these communities face unique challenges such as floods, earthquakes, wildfires, landslides, and heatwaves. This edition captures their adaptive responses, lessons learned, and the importance of local partnerships in managing and mitigating disaster risks. By highlighting gaps and best practices, this booklet offers practical strategies for enhancing crisis coordination, communication, and resilience across diverse governance scales.

Join us in exploring these findings as RESILIAGE showcases the power of cooperation in strengthening disaster resilience.
