SYNERGIES Project
The EU-funded project SYNERGIES aims to enhance and integrate the results of six earlier projects (ENGAGE, RESILOC, LINKS, IMPACT, BUILDERS and Ready2Help) focused on disaster risk management (DRM). By refining these projects’ outcomes and aligning them with best practices and field experiences, SYNERGIES seeks to increase their maturity and effectiveness. The project focuses on key DRM areas, such as stakeholder involvement, education and training, citizen communication, and spontaneous volunteer management, all while ensuring sustainability. The outcomes will be demonstrated through three real ‘preparedness cases,’ offering practical insights for improved disaster resilience.
At RESILIAGE, we see SYNERGIES as a valuable complement to our mission of empowering local communities to better respond to disasters through social and technological solutions. SYNERGIES’ emphasis on cross-sectoral cooperation, policy integration, and practical experience enhances our approach, allowing both projects to align efforts in resilience-building.
Together, we can leverage innovative practices, engage diverse stakeholders, and develop an adaptive framework that supports sustainable and resilient communities.
