PARATUS and RESILIAGE projects join forces to enhance Disaster Resilience and Risk Management

RESILIAGE, with a multi-stakeholder approach, aims to enhance the preparedness of the community by strengthening their resilience. For this, the project will be tested in the 5 CORE Labs, namely Belgium, Portugal, Greece, Norway and Turkey.

In a similar way, the PARATUS project aims to improve the preparedness of first and second responders in the face of multi-hazard events and to reduce the risks of complex disasters on various sectors. Based on an in-depth analysis, scenarios of multi-hazard impacts will be co-designed with stakeholders and developed in four case study areas, including the Caribbean, Romania, Turkey and the Alps.

The collaboration

Projects will share their knowledge, methodologies, and resources to ensure that the outcomes of their work are scalable and adaptable to various regions and contexts. This partnership will further contribute to building a more resilient Europe, where communities are equipped to face the challenges of climate change and its associated risks.

The first step in building such a collaboration is to co-develop a webinar series, entitled Disaster Risk Stakeholder Hub.

The collaboration aligns with the ongoing efforts of the EU to promote disaster risk reduction through international cooperation, supporting the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction and the European Union’s disaster resilience goals.
