LOBA and Naturtejo at the Biennium for Climate Action with the RESILIAGE Project

On the 12 June 2024, the Estrela UNESCO Global Geopark promoted the Final Conference on the Biennium for Climate Action in the Portuguese Geoparks, in Covilhã, Portugal. The conference counted with the participation of multiple stakeholders, mainly representatives of Portuguese UNESCO Global Geoparks including Arouca Geopark, Açores Geopark, Terras de Cavaleiros Geopark, Estrela Geopark, Oeste Geopark and aspiring UNESCO Global Geoparks from Viana do Castelo and Algarve.

In the event, LOBA presented RESILIAGE in a session entitled “Patrimony and Progress: Exploring the Impact of the CORE Labs in the RESILIAGE project”, in which the project was presented as well as the activities implemented so far. The session was also used to showcase Naturtejo’s participation in the project.

With the continued collaboration of entities like LOBA and Naturtejo, the resilience of geoparks and their communities is set to reach new heights, ensuring that these natural wonders are preserved and cherished for generations to come.
