We are thrilled to announce a special edition of our Summer School programme, “SHEroes, Empowering Girls in Science through Heritage“, tailored specifically for high school girls. 


  • Dates: 25-29 June 2024
  • Location: Castello del Valentino, Turin, Italy
  • Participation Fee: 
    • 220€ including accommodation
    • 60€ excluding accommodation
  • Target Groups: The programme is open to High School Girls (15 spots available)
  • Language: English

This unique educational programme will be held at the prestigious Castello del Valentino, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the heart of Turin, Italy. The theme aims to bridge the gap between science and heritage studies, focusing on empowering women in these fields.

The programme will focus on how society can become stronger and better prepared for disasters, by looking at cultural and natural heritage. The summer school will specifically address risks related to natural disasters and climate change. It aims to empower Women in Science by providing them with digital skills in heritage field and with a critical understanding of gender-sensitive approaches.

In a rich framework of interdisciplinary activities, within the Horizon Europe RESILIAGE research project, the Summer School will create opportunities of knowledge transfer and consultation based on the wide range of international experts at the intersection of Humanities and Social Sciences.
