RESILIAGE Joins the Festival della Partecipazione
RESILIAGE will take centre stage at the Festival della Partecipazione 2025 — a nationally recognised forum for civic engagement and social transformation — taking place in L’Aquila, Italy. Now in its tenth edition, the festival is co-organised by Cittadinanzattiva and ActionAid Italia, and brings together local, national, and international experiences of civic participation to drive forward public debate and policy change.
This year’s programme includes a dedicated event on emergencies and community preparedness, part of Cittadinanzattiva’s national project “Sicuri Insieme” (Safe Together). Running for 18 months, this initiative actively engages citizens and students in participatory processes to raise awareness and strengthen local capacities for emergency readiness.
As one of the key contributors, RESILIAGE will feature in a dedicated panel focused on the role of cultural heritage in building resilience. The session will highlight how safeguarding and activating cultural assets can contribute to more inclusive, informed, and prepared communities in times of crisis.
The event will be structured as a dynamic talk with three participants per panel — including a RESILIAGE representative — and a moderator guiding the discussion. With a focus on health, participation, and cultural heritage across the three project panels, the format is designed to explore the most critical and innovative approaches to creating systemic change in emergency governance.
The audience will include local authorities, public administrators, civil society actors and activists, with the goal of nurturing a shared cultural understanding of resilience. By taking part in this national stage, RESILIAGE not only shares its vision but also strengthens links with key stakeholders who are essential in transforming preparedness plans into participatory, community-led actions.
Stay tuned for updates and reflections from the event!
